1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Pixora ("Pixora," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Pixora mobile application and related services (the "Service"). Pixora is a photography community where people can create profiles, share photos and videos, join challenges, interact with content, and communicate with other users.

2. Information we process
Account and authentication information
- Your email address, normalized to lowercase, and the account identifier assigned by our authentication provider.
- An authentication token used to keep you signed in.
- A one-way credential value derived on your device from the app context, your email address, and your password. Pixora does not send your raw password to the authentication provider and does not store the raw password locally.
- Your acceptance of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy when signing in or registering.
Profile, content, and social activity
- Profile details such as nickname, biography, avatar, follower and following relationships, and profile statistics.

- Message and content identifiers needed to support deletion, hiding, reporting, blocking, and conversation history.
Purchases and virtual items
- Product identifiers, transaction or purchase identifiers, transaction status, purchase date, and an opaque hashed account token used to associate a store transaction with the correct Pixora account.
- Your Lens balance, local purchase-delivery ledger, and Lens spending history.
- Apple or Google processes your payment method and billing details. Pixora does not receive your full payment-card information.
Device permissions and locally stored information
Pixora may request access to your camera, photo library, and microphone only when you use a related feature. Camera and photo access support selecting or creating images. Microphone access supports voice messages. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.
The app stores certain information on your device, including sign-in tokens, your account email, preferences, cached profiles and content, locally retained message media, interaction state, Lens balances, and transaction-delivery records. Removing the app may remove local information.
Network and service-operation information
When the app connects to our service providers, they may process your IP address and standard request metadata such as request time, response status, and technical information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. Pixora does not currently use a third-party advertising identifier or an in-app analytics SDK.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate your account and restore your signed-in session.
- Provide profiles, publishing, challenges, discovery, comments, social interactions, direct messages, media delivery, and virtual-item features.
- Apply the audience, location visibility, block, mute, and message-hiding choices you make.
- Process purchases, prevent duplicate delivery, maintain Lens balances, and respond to transaction errors.
- Receive reports, investigate misuse where operationally possible, enforce these Terms, and protect users and the Service.
- Maintain reliability, diagnose errors, prevent fraud or unauthorized access, and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service, and compliance with law. You may withdraw consent for optional permissions through device settings, but some features will then be unavailable.
5. Your choices and controls
- Edit profile information and content through the available in-app controls.
- Choose a post audience and whether optional location text is visible.
- Block or unblock users, report users or content, hide messages for your own account, and remove content you own where the feature is available.
- Change camera, photo-library, microphone, and storage permissions in device settings.
- Sign out to remove the active app session from the device.
- Use Settings > Delete Account to begin permanent deletion of Pixora business records and uploaded files associated with your account.
6. Retention and account deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Retention may also be required for security, transaction integrity, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement. Local caches remain on your device until the app clears them, you delete the account, you clear app data, or you uninstall the app.
When in-app account deletion succeeds, Pixora deletes the account's owned business records and uploaded files through the available service interfaces, removes the public profile index last, clears account-scoped local data, and signs out the device.
Some information may remain in backups for a limited period or be retained where legally required. Content already received or independently retained by another user may not be removable from that user's device. Transaction records may be retained by Apple or Google under their own policies.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, including authenticated requests, account-scoped data access, one-way credential derivation, and opaque account tokens for store transactions. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password and device access secure, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. International processing
Pixora and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms and safeguards appropriate to the information and destination.
9. Children's privacy
Pixora is not directed to children under 13. You must also meet any higher minimum age required in your country to consent to online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully use the Service. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.
Use the in-app controls where available or contact us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, law, or our practices. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means the updated Policy applies to your use of the Service.
